In today’s session we focused alot on Sparring. With an emphasis on Defending and Attacking at the same time. My Sifu brought more intensity to the sparring than usual which helped me to level up on the mental side of it. The effectiveness of Ving Tsun is best when you are calm without tensing up and using too much aggression.
Highlights:
- Shoulder/Upper body can be used to bash into the opponent when moving away or side stepping the opponent is not possible.
- When fighting someone with a boxing like stance ; hold the hands up to same/similar height. Look prepared/ready for them, might make them think twice to engage with you.
